Wondering what resin flower preservation is and how it works?

Browse our FAQs and feel free to get in touch if you don’t see the answer you’re looking for!

  • Wherever you are in NZ, we can preserve your flowers . We will send you instructions on sending your flowers by overnight courier, and how to care for them.

  • Keep your flowers in water following your wedding and store them in a cool area. If you have room in your fridge this is ideal, but keep them away from fruit and vegges…. For every day they are in your care, cut a centimetre off the end of the stems and relace the water daily.

  • We want to get started on preserving your flowers while they’re still at their very best, so it’s important that you get them to us as soon as possible after your event.

    1. Keep your flowers in fresh water in a cool dark room. Change the water daily and courier as soon as possible

    2. When sending wrap the flower stems in wet papaer towel and secure with cling-wrap or foil.

    3. Place the flowers in a box and fill with light material, do not cover in plastic as they will suffocate.

    4. Mark the box as Fresh Flowers/FRAGILE and send over night.

    5. If your in Northland I can arrange a pick up or drop off. Contact me for the delivery address.

  • As all pieces are handmade, the preserving process can take 4-6 weeks. We cast and resin in stages which means there is sometimes 48 hours between pours, our turnaround time is often 3 months.

  • We recommend you get your flowers to us within 3 days. Follow the instructions for care, but if your flowers can not be used, we can re-create your bouquet from a local florist.

  • Once we receive your flowers, we’ll assess each of them carefully and select the best ones for your floral keepsakes. Unfortunately, we’re not able to ship surplus flowers back to you.

  • The process of drying and preserving flowers can slightly alter their colour, depending on the flower and original colour. This is normal.

Common changes can include red roses get darker, and tropical flowers brown. White flowers often change to an off white or cream . Bruising on petals can show as translucent once they are in resin, which is normally a result from when they were picked and arranged.

  • Flowers in resin last forever, as long as they are dried correctly, but resin is a plastic that will unavoidably age overtime and gradually take on a more yellow tone. At Everbloom, we go to great lengths to slow this process down by using high quality UV-resistant and anti-yellowing resin. We also provide clear instructions on how to care and store your piece, including keeping it away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.

  • Yes, we can. We ask that you make sure your flowers are free from mould, rot, dust or hair, and looking the way you want them before you send them. We can’t make any changes once they are dry. Everbloom is not responsible for any damage, dust or hairs that are within the flowers that we cannot see.

  • I can only preserve a set number of flowers every week, and wedding season gets busy. Booking in advance means that I will take your flowers over non-booked flowers.

  • We understand that things happen. If the date of your wedding or event is moved due to circumstances outside your control we will do our best to move your booking to your new date. If it’s not possible for us to do so, we’ll refund your deposit. Deposits cannot be refunded due to change of mind.

  • Of course, we can add other items to your piece. Some popular items are the cork from your wedding day, ribbon or lace from your dress, or jewellery items and charms. Just let us know when you make your booking if you’d like to include other keepsakes.

  • If your wedding has already happened but you’d still like to resin your wedding flower bouquet, we can work with a local florist to source and recreate the flowers from your special day. Get in touch with some photos of your original bouquet, and we will provide a quote for your approval before we proceed.
